Endowments
OSF welcomes endowment contributions. For endowments, there is a restriction that the principal amount is never to be spent or it can be customised based on the vision of the donor.
OSF projects benefit by way of income generated from the endowment. Endowment-generated income helps us to take longer term decisions, flexibility and innovation in projects, with the certainty of a stable, recurring income. It allows us, by some measure, to shift from a survival mode where money comes in and goes out.
Contribution to endowment funds can be started at any time. Even multiple donors can provide gifts to the fund. It can be dedicated or named after a family, individual or an organisation. The usage of funds can be earmarked to specific projects or to the general objectives of OSF.
