This Privacy Policy applies to osfindia.org – Osfindia.org understands the significance of securing the privacy of it’s visitors to the site. This specified how we treat user data and information that we collect on the website and associated sources. The Privacy Policy applies to all visitors, past and current to our website and to our online donors. By visiting and/or using our website, you agree to the contents of this Privacy Policy.

Osfindia.org is the website of Operation Sahay Foundation, a Section 8 Not For Profit firm registered under the Indian Companies Act 2013. The office is at Palm Peak Layout # 421, Kalkere Road, Ramamurthy Nagar, Doorvani Nagar PO, Bengaluru 560016.

Contributions/Donations – Purpose

OSF is involved in social and charitable activities to help the poor and needy in India, irrespective of their caste, creed, age, social status or religion. In this connection, all donations done for the activities of OSF, whether after or before registration is deemed to be purely out of free will of the donor appreciating the activities done by OSF and extending a helping hand. OSF does not compel anyone to donate for the activities.

Information Collected

  • Contact information.
    If you register as a donor, express your intent to volunteer and thereby register and/or provide some comments over the website, we will collect the contact details like name, email, mobile number, phone number, street, city, state, pincode, country and PAN number (PAN optional for donations) or an uploaded photo. These contact details are collected primarily to enable donation process, for ease of entering information as one donates and to know the interest in certain areas of volunteering. The password required is shared with the website and is held confidential by the engine. Automated process in enabled which will help you reset the password.
  • Payment and billing information.
    We NEVER collect and store your financial instrument information like credit/debit card number/bank account number, wallet details, UPI details or any such payment processing information or expiry dates or credit/debit card on our website. Such financial data will be obtained and processed by our online payment gateway partner (currently RazorPay) as per their policy and formal sanction for their approval and operation in line with the authorisation they have.
  • Information posted in a public space on our website or on a third-party social media site belonging to our website. Information in the form of video or photo taken during the course of our project activities, will be displayed in the site.
  • Demographic information.
    At times, after your explicit permission, we may collect demographic information about you, events you like, events you like to be in, or any other information provided during the use of our website. We may seek this as a feedback survey too, but sharing the same is fully a voluntary decision.
  • Other information.
    If you use our website, we may collect your IP address and the browser used. We may see from which website you came from, time spent on our website, pages accessed or what site you visit when you leave us. We may also collect the type of mobile / tab device you are using, or the version of the operating system your computer or device is running. This is to ensure that the users get a better usage experience by the technology employed.

      To stop receiving our emails, please email unsubscriber@osfindia.org It may take about five to ten days to process your request. Even if you opt out of getting marketing messages, we will still be sending you transactional messages through email and SMS about your contributions and as mandated by the Govt.
    • Send transactional communications.
      We might send you emails or SMS about your contributions or prospective support. However, there is no compulsion to contribute or support.

    We use information as otherwise permitted by law. Also any of the information received under the above clauses may be used for storing or processing under lawful contract or otherwise.

Sharing information with third-parties

With service vendors or service partners. With vendors or voluntary service partners wherever they are, who help manage online registration process or payment processors or transactional message processors or project organisers if interested in volunteering efforts in the field.

Complying with law or to protect ourselves. To respond to a court order or subpoena. Occasions if a government agency or investigatory body requests. Or, when we are investigating potential misuse or fraud.

OSF collects certain user activity information using cookies. Cookies are data files which contain small information. This is downloaded from the site when you visit.

OSF website uses cookies:

Though it is not essential in the functioning, it enhances the performance to the user by way of improving the way website operates, enhance performance.
