Our Mission

Operation Sahay Foundation is a Sec-8 NGO. Our focus is to reach the resource and opportunity-deprived communities to elevate their standard of living and make them self-sustaining.

Our major intervention pillars are:

  • Sahay Shiksha Yojana (Education)
  • Sahay Samridhi Yojana (Social Upliftment)
  • Sahay Aarogya Yojana (Healthcare)
This aligns with Goals 4, 8 and 3 of the UN Millenium Development Goals (MDG).

To meet our social upliftment goals, we mobilize resources from generous donors who have a compelling vision to see transformation in the life of the needy in rural, semi-urban and urban areas.

We value-add by utilising the resources, infrastructure and capabilities for development initiatives like: academic coaching, skill development, training for income generation, inspiring school attendance, enhancing farmers’ income, orgnising adult literacy and numeracy classes, imparting STEM for students, doing relief work (e.g., Covid19 relief), supplying school kits and sports kits, sharing devices/essentials for villages, doing career-development training etc. These are executed as short and long-term interventions in the field.

Education & Training Initiative

We invest in the future of students in disadvantaged communities. The projects support, mentor and inspire them to excel in academics and be successful in life.

We invest to address the livelihood challenges for the less privileged. OSF skills the sub-groups in communities through specific projects and prepares them to be self-supporting.

  • "What Next"?: Career Guidance Event for K10, K12 & College Students. Srikakulam Dist., AP
  • Launched Samridhi Tailoring Training at Badabankhidi, Odisha in Feb 2019
  • Graduation - 30 Women at Begur Samridhi Tailoring Unit
  • Laptops for Begur Tuition Centre
  • Launched Samridhi Tailoring Training Unit at Laxmipur (Odisha) in Dec 2019
  • Donated 2 weighing machines (100 kg capacity) to 2 SHGs at remote Koraput
  • Distributed torch lights - 1 village at Koraput Dist., Odisha
  • Adult Literacy Pilots at Koraput Dist., Odisha (80 Kuvi speaking adults - Oct 2019 onwards)
  • Begur – Sahay Tuition Centre (since Aug 2019, 40 children, K3 - K8)
  • Javagal – Samridhi Tailoring Centre (since Aug 2019)
  • Begur - Samridhi Tailoring Centre (since July 2019). First-batch (40) graduated. The second batch (23) is on.
  • School Kits Distribution. 1000 kits supplied in July and Aug 2019 (770 in Odisha, 330 in AP)
