Operation Sahay Foundation (OSF) is a Section 8 Not-for-Profit Company (Reg No.U80300KA2018NPL117277), established in 2018 at Bangalore. OSF was formed as a result of our observations on the unmet needs of the deprived in the community. To help the deprived, there are people and institutions who have resources to share. Our aim is to bring together these resources and unmet needs in an effective, compassionate manner, with all transparency. We render guidance, enhance the standard of living and lead the deprived to a stage of livelihood stability. There is no discrimination of our beneficairies by caste, creed, gender, religion or social status.
We carry out ad-hoc as well as long term initiatives in the areas of Education, Healthcare and Social Interventions.
Contributions to OSF are eligible for tax exemption under 80G of Income Tax Act, 1961.
Establish supplementary academic coaching centres for school children in needy communities of urban, semi-urban, and rural areas.

Gender Justice Programs

There are lots of gaps between men and women in the society. Women have less access in decision making, education etc. Child marriage issue plays a vital role in gender discrimination. To tackle these harmful practices awareness meetings across the working communities were organised, particularly in marginalized communities. Health and hygiene classes were conducted to the adolescents’ girls in the community to practice good menstrual hygiene.

Samridhi Designs: We have skilling and income generation tailoring units in different locations, to promote livelihood, especially for the poor, vulnerable women and youth of the community. The tailoring skill training was started where participants learn from hands on training/practices. It is a five months course, where the students are taught with professional tailoring teacher. This enabled them to stitch their own dress items, neighbours’ and also would make them to do Job work in garments and could earn to meet out their basic needs.
Small Biz: Incubating tiny business, a loan is provided (from Rs.3k to 25k), amount is to be returned in interest free instalments. Vulnerable and needy individuals are selected and supported by giving interest free loans up to 25k. The business varies from Petty shop, Tiffen Shop, Goat rearing etc. The small business what they do will be monitored and guided properly to ensure that they get additional profit and scale up the business.

To help rural communities harness the benefits of renewable sources – in non-grid villages and in areas with compromised quality of grid-electricity.

Organising Health / Medical Fitness Centres and Camps

Aarogya Sahay Points for rural areas – to stock and provide basic OTC medication for places which are far from medical shops or facilities, encouraging people to take timely treatment.
For the disadvantaged – in rural and semi-urban townships, village clusters, communities in Juvenile / Govt homes and orphanages, and pockets with a high density of migrant workers.
Also, for officers and authorities serving in remote semi-urban and rural locations including Govt offices, Post Offices, Village / Panchayat Offices, and Police Stations.
Health and Wellness Awareness Building

Enhance knowledge and awareness in areas of water, hygiene, and sanitation.
Work with and assist Govt and quasi-Govt authorities to impart preventive care awareness among rural communities.
Treatment Sponsorship

Subject to availability of funds and eligibility, treatment for a few needy patients identified from the camps will be sponsored or financially supported.

To organise training for rural farmers and farming communities, inducing the adoption of modern practices in agriculture with an intent to help them realise better volumes and prices.
To direct farming communities to be more productive by employing new techniques, organic inputs, and water harvesting practices.
